Russell Salzman has served as IREM’s executive vice president and chief executive officer since September 2004. He leads a staff of 66 association professionals dedicated to serving more than 18,000 individual members and 560 member firms spread across a network of 94 U.S. and international chapters and supported by an annual budget in excess of $11 million.
For 14 years prior to joining IREM, Salzman was president and chief executive officer of Chicago’s Greater North Michigan Avenue Association. A native Chicagoan, he is the Immediate Past National Chairman and a current faculty member of the United States Chamber of Commerce Institute for Organization Management.
Russ holds the IOM designation from the Institute of Organization Management, the Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation, and the REALTOR® Certified Executive (RCE) conferred by the National Association of REALTORS®. He holds a B.B. degree in business administration from Western Illinois University.
