Cynthia Shelton, CCIM, CRE, CIPS is Director of Investment Sales at Colliers International Central Florida and has over 38 years of experience in the real estate industry. She currently provides acquisitions and disposition services to private and institutional clients as well as works with special servicers and lenders with workouts of distressed properties. She is part of an investment team who’s primary focus is selling retail investment properties; which include single tenant net leased (NNN) properties, retail strip center, grocery anchored and power shopping centers. Her partner is Kane Morris-Webster. Cynthia also does consulting and many other facets of Commercial Real Estate. A list of clients and projects can be supplied upon request.
Prior to joining Colliers, Cynthia has worked as Vice President of acquisitions for a (NYSE) Real Estate Investment Trust, where she acquired single tenant assets in excess of $300 million over her tenure there. She has worked with many national companies such as Best Buy, Office Depot, Publix, Michael’s Crafts, CarMax and more. She has also been involved with site selection and development with Kinder Care Learning Centers and other retail tenants, as well as, completed several Sale Leasebacks for tenants/owners.
This prior experience gives her a solid insight into the buying process and the ability to help sellers in analyzing, marketing and selling their properties. She is able to think like a buyer to maximize value. Her teams proactive target marketing and extensive insight and contacts in the retail market, helps achieve maximum price for the seller’s properties.
Cynthia also stays current on capital market trends, thus allowing her to assist sellers and buyers with securing debt. Her diverse background and national contacts of 1031 buyers and institutional clients adds to her success.
